The
Machine Shop List website was created by a Mechanical
Designer who has worked with machine shops for many years. The
experience gained through countless design projects has shown
a need for a more complete list of available machine shops. When
your design is ready for fabrication, the quote process can be
very frustrating. You need to have a selection of suitable machine
shops who can review your design, get you an accurate quote, and
meet your deadline.
The Machine
Shop List was created to help simplify the quote stage of mechanical
design. The goal is to create a searchible list of machine shops
and to eventually allow engineers, designers, and buyers to rate
their experiences with the machine shops listed here. Other useful
features like quote requests, used equipment listings, and job
postings are goals for the future.
Why add your
shop to the list? As the list grows, engineers, designers, and
buyers will find your information and hopefully contact you about
work. The machine trade can be very cyclical in nature, and to
help get new customers, you need to get the word out that you
are looking for work. You may also find this resource helpful
if you routinely outsource work to other machine shops.
Currently,
to qualify for a listing, the machine shop must be located in
the United States, and be a provider of commercial or industrial
machining services of some type. A representitive of the shop
needs to fill out our submission form to be included in the list.
The submission form only asks for general information about your
company. You have the option of listing, or not listing, your
email address. You can list your company web address, but a website
is not a requirement.
Each submission
is reviewed for accuracy and then added to the list within 48
hours. If you would like to change, or remove a listing, just
submit the form with the correct contact name and your listing
will be removed or updated. We will not share your email address
if you select "No" on the form. We will only use your
email to confirm that your shop has been added, removed, or revised
on the list. We reserve the right to reject any listing that cannot
be validated.
Listings
are free. The website is supported by ad revenue. Ad content is
provided by reputible ad networks. Please contact Budget
Homepage if you are interested in placing an ad on the Machine
Shop List website, or if you have any questions about the Machine
Shop List.
